The Cricket and the Ant

The Cricket had been singing her song all summer long. But when the warm days grew old, and northerly winds started to blow, the cricket was left alone, hungry and cold.
She went to see the Ant, dug in deep in her home, and begged for some food and clothes, to shelter from the cold.
"What have you done, all summer long?" asked the Ant, reluctant to lend.
"Singing was my plight" replied the Cricket, "from the morning till the night."
"Food, I can't provide." said the Ant, "But I will dress you up, with a hat and a scarf."
And off the Cricket went, to dance throughout the night. Shining like a star, she looked so bright.
